At GearLab we are experts in Bespoke Motorsport Drivetrain Engineering, Gearbox, Transfer Case & Differential Rebuilding, upgrades, modifications and enhancements. We have over 15 years experience in the Drivetrain Automotive sector.

GearLab boasts a full comprehensive workshop facility and machine shop. 95% of all work is carried out on-site and we carry all our own stock, reducing lead and down times

We have a fully functioning machine shop which ensures precision and quality of parts engineered on site.

Whats involved?

Every Differential, Gearbox or Transfer box goes through the same process:

Full measurement and spec check of the differential to confirm tolerances

Disassemble all components, checking for wear and fatigue

Aqua Blast cast / case inside and out to remove any rust, swarf or carbon deposit.

Ultrasonic cleaning to the Punking, rear case and all internal components

Threads cut and cleaned

Supply and fit new bearings, seals and non consumables

Reassemble the new gearing to correct tolerances

Rework the open differential or LSD to clients specification or requirements

Retrim of the gear kit along with preload, backlash, pinion depth and gear contact mesh to Gearlab spec. (Race, Track or Road)

(Grind and polish if required)

Pinion Flange cut and ground to spec (output shafts optional)

Reassembly with new hardware and fasteners

Cases coated in heavy duty (Raptor, Por15 or Powder Coat)
